Two Hagerstown Men Steal Thousands in Valuables

HAGERSTOWN, MD- Police say two Hagerstown men are behind bars after stealing more than $10,000 worth in valuables. 

Police say the two men, James Grapes, 44, of View Street, Hagerstown, and Scott Carlson, 39, of North Cannon Avenue, Hagerstown, face multiple burglary charges. 

The incident happened on January 16, 2013 in the 20800 block of Lehman's Mill Road. 

Police say the men stole $12,000 worth of property, including jewelry and electronics. 

Grapes and Carlson are charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree con-burglary, and theft. 

Grapes is being held on a $150,000 bond and Carlson is being held on $200,000 bond. 

Both men are currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center.
