HAGERSTOWN, MD - The performance began and ended with applause. The Maryland Theatre hosted a special performance called, "For the Love of Mozart," featuring the Maryland Symphony Orchestra (MSO) and guest soloist, pianist Vassily Primakov.

Just moments before the performance, the theater was packed with anticipation.

"I'm very excited to hear the music and to see this young man who won the Cleveland thing, because my sister's in Cleveland," says Leslie Mills, a former MSO board member.

Primakov is known as a world-class musician, he's recorded the 27 Mozart piano concertos.

"I think that's what music does, it unites people, don't you think?," says Mills.

Some in the audience say the music left them in awe, as the symphony played an homage to Mozart himself.
