HAGERSTOWN, MD- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe is responsible for a series of burglaries in numerous office buildings downtown.

Police believe the suspect enters the buildings right before they close for the day, and burglarizes individual offices when everyone is gone.

Police say the man sometimes uses a prying tool to gain entry to the offices.

Once he's in the offices, police say he searches desks and cabinets for money and other easy to carry items, like laptops. The suspect has also broken into soda machines on two occasions.

The first incident police have been able to link to these crimes happened in late September.

Anyone with information on these crimes or the suspect is asked to contact the Hagerstown Police Department at (301)-790-3700 or email at crimetip@hagerstownpd.org
