TODAY: Today will be mostly cloudy, windy and mild with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Winds will be from the south at 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph at times. Some higher spots could see gusts to 50. Rain and gusty thunderstorms are expected to arrive after noon as a strong cold front approaches.
TONIGHT: The strong cold front moves through with strong gusty thunderstorms between 6pm and 10pm. Winds with the line could gust up to 55 mph. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out either. 1 to 1.5" of rain will fall on a hard ground so some flooding is possible. A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Southern Pennsylvania and Garrett Counties. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for the rest of the region through tonight.
THURSDAY: Behind the front, it's windy and colder with partly sunny skies. Western Maryland and the upslope areas of the Potomac Highlands will see some snow with a few inches possible. High: Upper 30s. Wind chills in the afternoon and evening will be in the 30s and 20s.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with some snow showers, especially in the morning. High: 30.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny and chilly with highs in the mid 30s.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny with a chance of flurries. High: 37.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and a bit milder with highs in the low 40s.
TUESDAY: A mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the low 40s.
