Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting A Juvenile

WINCHESTER, VA - The Winchester Police Department say a man is facing sexual assault charges after he attacked a 14-year old female. 

Police say Ignacio Ramirez, 50, approached the victim, around 5 p.m. on January 20, and convinced her to go in to a storage unit on West Monmouth Street. 

They say the victim told police that's where the incident occurred. 

Ramirez is charged with abduction, strangulation, aggravated sexual battery, and forcible sodomy. 

Police say the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call Crime Solvers at (540)-665-TIPS.
