ALLEGANY COUNTY, PA - The Allegany County Sheriff's Office in Pennsylvania says two people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a two vehicle crash.

Police say it happened around 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of National Highway and Winchester Road.

Police say Robert Howell, 51, of Easton, Pa., failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and turned left into the path of a vehicle driven by William Weimer, 52, of Lonaconing.

Weimer and his wife, Delores, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were both taken to the emergency room by LaVale ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.

LaVale Fire Department also responded to the scene.

Police say Howell was cited for failure to yield the right of way while turning left.
