Local crowds as well as those from nearby states came to donate canned goods and toys to support the less fortunate and the marines.
Toys for Tots was supported by the local Volkswagen dealer, along with other sponsors, with hopes of helping those who may not have everything they need to get through the holiday season.
"We have a lot of guys that either were in the military or are in the military and their families are left here or they've come home and they're wounded and they need our help, their children need our help," says Stacey Braithwaite, coordinator of the charity.
Not only did the number of canned goods and toys grow by the minute, but the sound of coins dropping into the jars was just a sign of care from the community.
"It's a lot of fun, it's nice to know you're helping the community and getting people together and just helping out, it's that time of the year," says Jonathan Lemley, volunteer and sponsor from Bill & Glenn's Goodyear.
Aside from being there for the charity, Volkswagen lovers drove their cars to the event and socialized with others who also carried an interest in the make.
For those who brought in donated items, they received a raffle ticket and the cash donations will go towards the Toys for Tots charity.
