On Thursday, Chamberburg Hospital officials gave WHAG a first hand look at their new King Street addition. The wing will have more than 150 patient rooms, with television and internet service.
Officials say the wing will also have new cardiac catherization labs, which will help doctors open blocked blood vessels for patients with heart illnesses. They say the new services and atmosphere will help patients recover more quickly.
"We have been recognized nationally for heart care," says Dr. Sanjay Dhar of Chambersburg Hospital. "Patients won't have to leave the area to get health care, so I think this is a good step in the right direction."
The wing officially opens on December 8th.
