Veterans Day Sparks Free Meals at Restaurants

WHAG - A large number of restaurant chains offered special deals for veterans.

The major food chains listed below are giving military members freebies to dine. It's an appreciation day for service men and women across the nation for their service.

Veterans Day free meals were available at:
  • Friendly's
  • Outback Steakhouse -  Blooming onion only
  • Einstein Brothers Bagels
  • On the Boarder
  • Red Lobster - Appetizer only
  • McCormick & Schmicks
  • Golden Corral
  • Little Ceasars - Crazy bread only
  • BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse
  • Olive Garden
  • Dennys
  • TGI Fridays
  • Chilis
  • Red Robin
  • Sizzler
  • Texas Roadhouse
  • Krispy Kreme

Please note some of these Veterans Day free meals are nationwide but some are only at participating locations. Please call the restaurant before you leave home to make sure they are taking part.

Please bring proof of identification, such as a Military I.D,  form DD214, or Veterans Organization Cards. Wearing a military uniform or a photo in uniform are also acceptable forms of identification to get free meals.
