BERKELEY COUNTY, WV - Police say Thomas Kegarise of Hagerstown died after the car he was riding in left the road, hit a fence and went airborne before crashing into a house.

It happened around 10:30 Thursday night in the 9000 block of Hedgesville Road.

Police believe alcohol and speed were factors.

West Virginia State Police say Timothy Kegarise was driving the car.  He was flown to Winchester Medical Center.

Frank Mason Jr., 21, of Hancock was sitting in the back of the car.  He was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital. His condition is not known.

No other vehicles were involved.
