HAGERSTOWN, MD- Just about one month away from the Election Day and there are many local races to follow in the Four-State Area.

On Wednesday, local residents and business leaders had an opportunity to hear Hagerstown City Council candidates speak at an election forum sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce. Eight of the 11 candidates took part.

The biggest issue was how to revitalize the downtown area.

They also talked about moving the board of education offices to City Center as well as responding to the proposed multi-use sports and events center.

"I think it is important that people understand each one of the candidates on what they can possibly bring to the table and that everyone get out and vote in November," says Leslie Hart, a Hagerstown Resident.

On Election Day, WHAG will have extensive coverage of all the major local races as well as minute-to minute results.
