House Fire Claims Life of Frederick County Woman

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD - A house fire has claimed the life of a Frederick County woman.
Officials say the blaze broke out just before 7 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 12000 block of Moxton Drive in Mount Airy.Once inside, firefighters discovered very little smoke and a small fire.
They found the woman in a second floor bedroom with the door shut.
The woman was the only one inside at the time of the fire.
Her body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Officials say there were working smoke alarms in the home.
Her identity has not been released and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
