JEFFERSON COUNTY, WV - A Jefferson County school nurse told her students that if they were able to raise $10,000 for the American Heart Association she would shave her head.
When the donations were all added up the students were able to raise over $13,000.
Not only did the students of South Jefferson Elementary get to see their nurse's head get shaved, but they managed to set a record for the highest amount of money raised for the American Heart Association by any other elementary school in West Virginia.
"These are a great group of people. Great kids, great staff, and I knew if we had the incentive and the goal to pump 'em up that they would do whatever it took, and they did," says Kelley Henry, the admirable school nurse.
The students were also rewarded with opportunities to pie some of the other teachers in the face.
