Winter Weather Likely Overnight; Severe Weather Possible This Week

HAGERSTOWN, MD - An light icy mix of some snow, sleet and
freezing rain will develop after 2:00 AM tonight and last through Monday
morning. Some icy spots are possible for the Monday morning commute.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the following counties:
Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan Counties in West Virginia, Allegany, Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland and Loudoun County, Virginia.until 12:00 PM Monday.
Grant, Hampshire, Hardy and Mineral Counties in West Virginia and Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah and Warren Counties in Virginia through 10:00 AM Monday.
Adams, Bedford, Franklin, Fulton and Somerset Counties in Pennsylvania through 3:00 PM Monday.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Garrett County, Maryland through 4:00 PM Monday.
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed the entire region in a risk for severe thunderstorms on Wednesday. The main threat with these storms along and ahead of the cold front will be damaging winds.

snow and sleet after midnight tonight. Most of the precipitation will
fall in the form of light freezing rain. With temperatures in the 20s
and road temperatures so cold, some icy spots are possible for the
Monday morning commute.
The freezing rain will change over to a light rain late Monday morning into the afternoon as temperatures rise into the upper 30s to near 40.
