Winter Weather Likely Overnight; Severe Weather Possible This Week

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the following counties:
Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan Counties in West Virginia, Allegany, Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland and Loudoun County, Virginia.until 12:00 PM Monday.
Grant, Hampshire, Hardy and Mineral Counties in West Virginia and Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah and Warren Counties in Virginia through 10:00 AM Monday.
Adams, Bedford, Franklin, Fulton and Somerset Counties in Pennsylvania through 3:00 PM Monday.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Garrett County, Maryland through 4:00 PM Monday.


The freezing rain will change over to a light rain late Monday morning into the afternoon as temperatures rise into the upper 30s to near 40.
As if another round of winter weather is not enough, a strong cold front will move through the area on Wednesday, some severe weather is possible.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed the entire region in a risk for severe thunderstorms on Wednesday. The main threat with these storms along and ahead of the cold front will be damaging winds.
