West Virginia State Police say the highway was closed from around 9 p.m. Monday night to 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, due to a tractor trailer accident.
Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle while changing lanes heading south by exit 23.
They say his entire cargo of seafood was spilled onto the interstate, causing the shutdown.
All lanes were finally reopened after the seafood cleanup.
Police say the driver was transported to Martinsburg City Hospital with minor injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
