FREDERICK, MD - There is a new program in downtown Frederick for those interested in the art of makeup.
Makeup at the Temple educates advanced students on all aspects of specialized makeup artistry. It's designed for students who have completed a cosmetology or esthetician program.
The founders of the program say it's needed in the area since other makeup programs would not be geared toward professionals or would not go as in depth. Some students say they're excited for this to be in Frederick before they would have to go to large metropolitan cities instead.
"I was very excited," says Michelle Ritchie, a student. "I've always been looking for advanced classes and makeup techniques because that is something I would like to learn more about."
