Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car In Thurmont

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD - A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a car Sunday night in Thurmont.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. in the ten thousand block of Hansonville Road.

Police say Taylor Toms was walking with a friend when for unknown reasons she walked into the road and was struck by a car.

She was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.

The driver of the car was not injured.

No word if any charges are pending against the driver.
