Students Take to the Ice During Holiday Break

FREDERICK, MD - During the holiday break, many youngsters are cooped up at home, trying to stay warm from the cold weather.

But many of them are finding a new way to spend their time. Students in the four-state area were lacing up the skates and hitting the ice rink at Skate Frederick.

Many of them were out there for the first time trying the winter activity. There were some slips and falls, but the skaters say it's a whole lot of fun.

"It's fun once you put on the skates. You just want to get out there and see what happens," says Kenny Ramirez, of Frederick, Md.
