WHAG - Every Wednesday WHAG and Solider Fit honor a service member or veteran our community. This week's Hometown Hero is Sue Bonnet.

Sue Bonnet, of Gerrardstown, West Virginia, was in the army for nine years, enlisting in the mid-70s. During Bonnet's military career, she was stationed all around the world, including Campy Humphrey in Korea and Furth, Germany.

Bonnet settled in Gerrardstown where she enjoys spending time with family, playing the guitar, and working in the garden in the spring.

Bonnet is a mother of two sons and also has two granddaughters. Her family says she always worked hard to accomplish whatever she applied herself to throughout life.
