Attempted Child Abduction

THURMONT, MD - Police in Thurmont are investigating an attempted child abduction.
Police say it happened just before 5:00 p.m. on East Main Street on Wednesday.
They say a young girl, 11, was walking down the street when a man, driving a tan car, pulled up beside her and ordered her to get in. She ran away to the nearest businesses.
The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s, with a brown beard.
