Hunter Accidentally Shoots Himself

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, PA - A hunter is recovering at a trauma center after he accidentally shot himself in the torso while hunting in Franklin County.
It happened near the 8900 block of Corner Road at 4:44 p.m. on Saturday. They say the hunter was at a tree stand when it occurred, according to The Pennsylvania Gaming Commission.
Fire and ambulance officials were dispatched from the Mercersburg, Montgomery, Peters, and Warren Volunteer Fire Co., along with Waynesboro, Pa., Advanced Life Support Unit.
Officials say the man was flown to the trauma center in Altoona. They say the accident caused the hunter extensive injuries.
