Dense Fog Causes Multiple Accidents on the Roads

By: Ciara Brown and Hayley Mason
Updated: November 21, 2012

WHAG - Officials say just before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, a four car crash sent three people to the hospital on I-70 at Sharpsburg Pike.

State police say they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries. They say dense fog is to blame for the pile-up.

A second accident sent two more people to the hospital on I-70 at the 26th mile marker.

State police say around 8 a.m., two others were hospitalized after a three car accident on Route 40.

They say another accident on Lietersburg Pike sent three people to the hospital around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday morning.

And finally on Route 60 two people were taken to Meritus after an accident near Clopper Road.

State police are urging folks to drive slowly and take caution while on the roads.

Comments

Yes, the fog was dense. I saw so many cars without their lights on this morning! I could not believe it! Please people, turn on your lights so others can see you!!!!!
