Boonsboro Man Indicted For Elder Abuse

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD - A Boonsboro man has been indicted on charges of abusing an elderly woman and stealing her money.

Police say Paul Boccone held the power of attorney for a elderly woman, and neglected to pay for her medical care and basic needs. After an investigation, police learned he was taking her money for personal use. The victim has been removed from his care.

He's charged with vulnerable adult abuse, and is being held at the Washington County Detention Center without bond.
