A: All your settings (if you are registered) are stored in the database. Once you login, click "user profile" in the upper right corner to change password.
Q: "How does the registration activation email work?"
A: Once you have entered your information to become a registered user with your4state.com, you will receive a confirmation email. This is to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our other users. This email will arrive the same day. Depending on how you have your email settings, it may arrive in your spam box. Once you have responded to the activation email, your account is automatically and immediately activated.
Q: "What are Bookmarks?"
A: Bookmarks are links to your favorite websites. With our bookmarks feature, all your favorite sites are just a click away.
Q: "How do I bookmark this page?"
A: To add a "Bookmarks" section to your personalized homepage, follow these steps:
1. Click on "Add Content" in the top-left corner.
2. Select "Tools" from the left panel.
3. Click the "Add it now" button under the section entitled "Bookmarks."
4. Click "Back to homepage" in the top-left corner of the page.
Q: "Why am I having problems viewing pages on Your4State.com?"
A: If you are having problems with these pages loading correctly on your computer, please make sure you are running Internet Explorer 7 or Mozilla Firefox 5.0. Your4state.com is best viewed with either of these two browsers. Video is best viewed with Adobe Flash.
Q: "How do I post a Classified Ad?"
A: You may post a classified ad for free, but you must be a registered user to do so. Once registered, click on "classifieds" on the main navigation bar. Choose any one of the "Place a FREE Ad" links on the "Classifieds" page. On the resulting page, choose the category followed by the sub-category in which you would like your ad to appear and choose "Continue" at the bottom of the page. Fill out the form on the following page as thoroughly as possible. Keep in mind that fields with an asterisk are required. Choose "Continue" at the bottom of the page. Next, upload any photos that you would like to appear with your ad (this step is optional). Finally, review your information and choose "Submit Ad" if all is correct. Be sure to read the warning on the following page.
Q: "How do I edit my classified ad?"
A: Log on to Your4State.com. Once you are logged in you should notice four links that appear directly below the main navigation bar ("Edit My Profile", "Add/Edit Classifieds", Add/Edit an Event" and "Logout"). Select "Add/Edit Classifieds" and select the "Edit Classified" button that appears directly below your ad (you may also choose to delete your ad from here). Selecting "Edit Classified" will take you back to the same screen you began with when you created your ad. From this point follow the instructions for posting a classified ad.
Q: "How do I add a .biz event?"
A: Log on to Your4State.com. Once you are logged in you should notice four links that appear directly below the main navigation bar ("Edit My Profile", "Add/Edit Classifieds", Add/Edit an Event" and "Logout"). Select "Add/Edit and Event" which will bring you to a calendar page. Navigate to the appropriate month using the "Previous" and "Next" links at the top of the calendar, scroll down to find the date of your event and select the green box with the white plus in it that corresponds to the correct date (Note: no plus sign will appear in dates that have already passed). When you select the plus symbol, a pop-up window will appear (as long as you have allowed pop-ups in your browser). In this window, fill out the information for your event and select the "Save Changes" button at the bottom. The calendar page will automatically refresh and your event will show up as a green link in the appropriate date.
Q: "How do I edit a .biz event?"
A: Log on to Your4State.com and select "Add/Edit and Event" directly below the main navigation bar. You will be taken to the calendar page where you should navigate to the appropriate month using the "Previous" and "Next" links at the top of the calendar, scroll down to find the date of your event and select the name of your event which should appear as a green link. When you select your event, the same pop-up window you used to add your event will appear (as long as you have allowed pop-ups in your browser). In this window, edit the information for your event and select the "Save Changes" button at the bottom. The calendar page will automatically refresh to reflect your changes.
