Congratulations to the NBC25
Student Athletes of the Month.
The male Student Athlete of the Month
is Matthew Eyler, a senior at Catoctin High School. Matt plays tennis, soccer and indoor track
for the Cougars. He's a first team All-MVAL selection in soccer and is a National
Soccer Coaches Association Academic All-American, one of just 35 nationwide.
"Soccer's relaxation, it's a
sort of way of relaxation for me. When I get home I know I have to do my
homework so I just go straight to it."
Off the field, Matthew maintains a
4.69 G.P.A. and ranks first in his class.
He is enrolled in seven Advanced Placement college courses. He is a Gold
Scholar, member of the National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His plan is to attend Lock Haven, Hood or Stevenson
to play soccer and major in biology.
"that mindset just helps in
the classroom as well because with everything you try to do you know you need
to succeed."
Congratulations to Emily
Hargreaves and Matthew Eyler, the NBC25
Student Athletes of the Month.
