The Pennsylvania Institute of Applied Health Science had its first classes on Wednesday with 13 students.
The program is a year long course and will give students the necessary training they need to be ready for state and national registry exams.
Students will be taught by a team of health care professionals from Waynesboro Hospital and they will get clinical on-the-job experience from local area hospitals.
NBC25 will have more on this story on Wednesday.
