Drunk Driving Accident in Maryland

It occurred on Route-144 at Spring Ridge Parkway. A 39-year-old Bethesda woman ran a red light, crashing into the car of 65-year-old Barbara Smith from Frederick. Smith had her seven-year-old granddaughter with her. Neither were seriously injured, but the driver who ran the red light, 39-year-old Catherine Bisnett, was thrown from her van and pinned underneath. Troopers were able to free her and she was flown to Baltimore shock trauma where she is listed in serious condition. Officers said she was drinking and driving on a suspended license.
