FREDERICK

Prosecutors said Airman Calvin Hill killed Turner on a naval base in Iceland to keep her from testifying against him in a theft case. A judge denied defense motions to suppress Airman Calvin Hills statements to investigators and ruled his trial wont get a change of venue. In all, the judge rejected 12 of 13 defense motions. "Its hard to go through something like that when its something to do with a family member. I understand why they disassociate themselves from the emotional aspect of the case because if they didnt, it wouldnt be where it is now," said Lawrence Turner, victims father. "I feel very, very, very confident in the United States that theyre going to ensure that justice is served," said Jason Turner, victims brother. The next round of hearings is slated for October 4th. Airman Calvin Hills trial is scheduled to start in late November.
