Push America is made up of more than 80 members of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. Their Journey of Hope is now in its 19th year. The cyclists raise money for the disabled and then ride from San Francisco to Washington, D.C.
After biking from Cumberland Thursday night, the group ate dinner with folks at the Potomac Center of Hagerstown. While the group has raised more than half a million dollars, riders said their journey is not about the money.
Randy Morgan, a bicyclist for Push America, said that "Its the smiles we get when we get there, knowing that we are making a difference, that we are showing people we care as individuals and that as a community we care about people with disabilities."
The group left from the Potomac Center at 6:30 a.m. Friday.
