By: Import User
Updated: February 6, 2007
Senator Mikulski and other local officials took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning, before touring the 8700 square foot facility. The library is located in Veterans Park. Unlike the old one, the new branch has a computer lab and a special childrens reading center. The building cost over $1million dollars, 300,000 of which was given by the federal government. "I say we gotta give help to those who practice self help. If we can send money to rebuild Iraq, we can have money to build the Smithsburg library," said Sen. Barbara Mikulski, (D) MD. The library will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 7 p.m. Reported by Sinu Abraham" Residents in Morgan County Work to Pick up Pieces of History,1155161636,1155244281," MORGAN COUNTY, WV-Officials have yet to release the cause of the fire that gutted the Morgan County Courthouse earlier this week.
