Congratulations to the NBC 25 Student Athletes of the Month. Our male Student Athlete of the Month is Drew Dopson, a senior at Martinsburg High School. Drew plays soccer and football for the bulldogs, where he splits time between playing soccer and kicking for the football team. He's a captain of this year's soccer team and is a first-team all-PAC conference kicker. It's hard to balance two sports but Drew is up to the task."Football will start a little earlier, so I'll go to football, go to soccer for two hours then go to football after that."
Off the field, Drew maintains a 4.6 G.P.A. In AP and honors classes. Along with class work he participates in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and volunteers at the Burke Street Elementary School for kids with learning disabilities. His plan is to attend West Virginia and major in engineering
"If i don't push myself to do it, I'm never going to get it done, but i do that most of the time. And it helps me keep good grades."
Congratulations to Brittany Weaver and Drew Dopson, the NBC 25 student athletes of the month.
