One mans travels on a Bloomery Road led to a frightful experience. His story is the reason why the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department is warning drivers to be cautious on the road. "This is kind of an isolated event. We havent had any reports of such mode of operation any where in the county," said Chief Jesse Jones, Jefferson Co. Sheriffs Office. Officials said the victim was driving when a man flagged him down asking for help. When the victim stopped another pick-up truck backed out of a hidden driveway trapping the victim before robbing him. "The victim states that the Hispanic male that flagged him down ordered him out the car, produced a hand gun and demanded his wallet which he forfeited. After forfeiting his wallet, he was asked to step to the rear of the vehicle. He turned and started to walk back to the rear of his vehicle and he was struck in the back of the head," said Jones. Although the incident happened in broad daylight, officials are reminding drivers to look out for criminals who may be posing as someone in need of help "Use common sense. Be aware of your surroundings. If it looks dangerous, if its a secluded area you have to be careful," said Jones. "Out here this seems more like a country side to me, so I would not even think it would be dangerous," said Michael Buonanna, a visitor from Florida. The Jefferson County Sheriffs Department is looking for two Hispanic men, One suspect is about 56. Both men are possibly in their mid 20s or early 30s with a black faded pick up truck. If you have any information, call authorities.
