The accident happened just after nine p.m. Monday night. Police said a 16-year-old driver from Walkersville was speeding and lost control of his car in the south bound lane. There were two passengers in the car, a 16-year-old girl from Mt. Airy and a 13-year-old girl from Union Bridge. She was in the back of the car. The driver and 13-year-old were flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The 16-year-old was taken by ambulance to Frederick Memorial Hospital. Police said the 13-year-old was the most seriously injured. The other two teens are in serious but stable condition.
