13-Year-Old Injured in Frederick County Accident

The accident happened just after nine p.m. Monday night. Police said a 16-year-old driver from Walkersville was speeding and lost control of his car in the south bound lane. There were two passengers in the car, a 16-year-old girl from Mt. Airy and a 13-year-old girl from Union Bridge. She was in the back of the car. The driver and 13-year-old were flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The 16-year-old was taken by ambulance to Frederick Memorial Hospital. Police said the 13-year-old was the most seriously injured. The other two teens are in serious but stable condition. Maryland State Police want to remind you that its illegal for people under the age of 18 to drive passengers under the age of 18 unless they are related or living together.
