Some Home Owners May Have More Money Coming for Them

By: Import User
Updated: October 9, 2006
After receiving a check from the county just last week, another could be on its way from the state. About 200 homeowners will get a $30 refund in the next few weeks to help pay for the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fee, which most people pay in their water-sewer bills. However, not everyone will get a check. "If they have already paid the $30 fee, it will be refunded to them if they are eligible. But, for someone who hasnt paid the fee yet, they would get that exemption provided to them, so they wouldnt have to pay the fee," said Dave Jordan, Washington County Community Action Council. The refund is being handled by the Community Action Council and the city of Hagerstown. Its based on how much money you make and how many people live in your home. Reported by Marie Coronel " Recent Flooding Hitting Blood Supplies Hard,1152217565,1152217565,"FREDERICK, MD- Heavy rains and flooding in our area are affecting more than just residents washed out of their homes. The American Red Cross said the weather is one of the reasons their blood supply is running thin.
