Updated: October 9, 2006
Investigators said the pickup truck driver who gave the three victims a ride during heavy flooding last Tuesday is not at fault for their deaths. 19-year-old Eric Zepp, 24-year-old Jessie Haulsee, and his wife, 29-year-old Angelia died shortly after they were rescued by a passing motorist. According to reports, the victims vehicle stalled around Harp Hill Road and Route 17. The driver of the truck gave the trio a ride and said he dropped them off at Route 17 and East Church Hill Road. Witnesses said the victims were last seen wading through the water toward the bridge on East Church Hill Road. Funeral services were held for all three victims on Tuesday morning at Garfield United Methodist Church in Wolfsville. Services were also held Tuesday for two boys from Keymar who also drowned last Tuesday in Little Pipe Creek.
