Businesses Honored at Washington County Business Awards

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD - It was the Oscars of the Washington County business community - local companies and leaders were honored at Wednesday evening's business awards.
Awards were given in six categories.
Yogi Bear Jellystone Resort was recognized for going green.
The Non-Profit Impact Award went to Leadership Washington County.
Wright-Gardner Insurance took home the At-Your-Service Award.
Custom Machine took tops for small business.
Don Bowman accepted two titles: one for the Vision Award and Business Person of the Year.
He said, "You might have an idea, but if you don't have people to help you carry out a vision or a project, you really don't get much done. I think it starts with your family, then your employees, and you've got to have a good community."
NBC25's Pieter Bickford hosted the event, and our Mary King, also Miss Western Maryland helped present the awards.
