ANNAPOLIS, MD- The Maryland House of Delegates passed the gas tax bill on Friday, leaving many folks and gas station owners worried.

The House voted in favor of the bill 78 to 56.

Governor Martin O' Malley's proposal to raise the gas tax passed in a house committee in Annapolis on Monday.

The bill, if passed, would raise the wholesale price of gas by one percent on July first-- and two percent in 2015.

The tax could add three to four cents a gallon to the price of gas this summer.

The bill now makes its way to the Maryland Senate.
