Slayer's Law Passes Maryland House of Delegates

ANNAPOLIS, MD - A bill to prohibit convicted murderers from benefiting from the estate of their victim, passed unanimously in the Maryland House of Delegates.
The bill which is sponsored by Frederick County Delegate Kelly Schulz is named after Ann Sue Metz, who was murdered by her husband in 2009.
Marshall Metz, of Frederick was convicted of First Degree Murder, and later made money off of Ann Sue's estate,
The bill now heads to the Maryland Senate. 47 other states have a slayer's law.
Senator Chris Shank of Washington County is sponsoring the bill on the senate side.
