Driver Sent to Hospital in Tractor Trailer Overturn

ALLEGANY COUNTY, MD- The Allegany County Sheriffs Office is investigating after a tractor trailer overturned Wednesday morning on the Old Town Toll Bridge.
The vehicle flipped into the river just before 9 a.m.
Allegany County Fire and Rescue say the driver was sent to the hospital for their injuries. Fire officials say they're not sure at this time how badly the driver was hurt.
The Allegany County Sheriff's Office could not be reached at this time.
No word yet if speed was a factor or if charges are pending against the driver.

Speed a factor? Across that bridge? It has been in operation since 1938 and to my knowledge, that is the first tractor trailer to go off the bridge. Surprised it hasn't happened before this. Glad everyone got to safety! Last June a car went off but the that guy wasn't so lucky!
