Frostburg Student Sentenced to 14 Years in Fatal Stabbing

Officials say Shanee Liggins plead guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Kortneigh McCoy. The stabbing happened off campus at a residence in November of 2011.
Police say the two students had an altercation and McCoy was found lying on the street with multiple stab wounds in the head and neck.
Liggins was sentenced to 20 years with six years suspended.
Liggins will serve five years of supervised probation after she's released. In court, Liggins apologized to the victim's family.
