Frederick Police Issue Arrest Warrant in Bank Robbery

Police say 37-year-old James Raymond Vanwinkle of Greencastle, Pa., walked into the SunTrust Bank on Rosemont Avenue in Frederick around 3:30 p.m. and displayed a note to the teller demanding cash.
Police say Vanwinkle was able to escape with an undisclosed amount of money.
Chief Thomas Ledwell with the Frederick Police Department said Vanjwinkle fled the scene in a white Honda Accord with Pennsylvania tags, and soon after there was a police chase.
Police say Vanwinkle and another suspect left the Accord behind a business on the 100 block of South Market Street. Police were able to obtain Vanwinkle's identity through the vehicle's plates.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
