A crowd including the mayor and the eldest church member surrounded the lead pastor as he celebrated the future of the church and local community. The pastor says the multi-purpose center will improve the quality of life for residents by incorporating neighborhood programs, like daycare and little league.
He says the church community represents about sixteen different countries.
"For us here, you know our church's religion is about family. We believe that when the family is well, the community is well. So this is a small investment that will hope will yield great dividends, so that family's can have options," says Dr. Rudy Bropleh, Lead Pastor.
The pastor says the multi-purpose building should be completed within the next nine months.
