Berkeley County Man Dies After Being Hit By Passing Truck

GERRARDSTOWN, WV- The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man was killed on Thursday after being struck by a passing truck.
It happened in the 800 block of Dominion Road.
Officers say the man was a driver for Apple Valley Waste. They say he was getting out of his vehicle when he was hit by a green Ford F-250 that was heading south towards Dominion.
Officers say the man was rushed to City Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The identity of the victim will be released, pending family notification.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and the West Virginia State Police say the case is still under investigation.
