WINTER STORM WARNING for the entire region until midnight Wednesday.

TODAY: Heavy snow with a low pressure tracking to our south in Southern Virginia. 6"-12" is expected from Hagerstown to Frederick and in Southern Pennsylvania. The lower the elevation you are, the lower the snowfall amounts. The farther south you go, toward the Potomac Highlands, Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and Shenandoah Valley, the more snow you will see. 10"-15"+ is expected there. The wind picks up during the afternoon at 15-25 mph. The combination of heavy, wet snow and gusty winds could cause some power outages. Highs will be in the low to mid 30s.
TONIGHT: The snow arrives around 10pm and will become heavy. 3"-5" is expected by dawn with more to the south and west.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy with highs in the upper 30s.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and a bit warmer with highs in the low 40s.

SATURDAY: It's mostly sunny with a high of 48. Don't forget we "spring forward" and turn the clocks ahead Saturday night for Daylight Saving Time.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and mild. High near 52.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain as a cold front moves through. High: Low 50s.

TUESDAY: Mix of sun and clouds. High: 48.
