BERKELEY COUNTY, WV- Police are investigating after a man robbed a Hedgesville bar in Berkeley County.

It happened around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon at California Dreams Bar and Lottery in the 4000 block of Hedgesville Road.

According to the clerk, a man came into the business and asked where the bathroom was. When the suspect came back he told the clerk to open the register. When the clerk refused the man showed his gun.

State police say the man took off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. Luckily, no one was hurt.

Police say the suspect fled from the scene in an unknown direction.

He's described as a white male in his late 20's, wearing a grey hoodie, possibly with the word "Carolina" across the front, and a dark brown hat with a beard.

After reviewing surveillance video, police say they observed that within a few seconds of the suspect exiting the building, the first vehicle to pass in front of the business was a white vehicle, possibly a Buick sedan.

Police say the vehicle appeared to be damaged. The vehicle was traveling west towards Morgan County.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the West Virginia State Police at (304)-267-0001.
