Every county was represented as teams got ready to snap on skis and snowshoes.
The Flame of Hope blazed a trail down the mountain for the opening ceremony.
The athletes train and hold scrimmages for about three months leading up to these games. The oath of the games is "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
"Competing is more fun we practice a lot, then we play, we scrimmage against each other and then we scrimmage against other counties," says host Michael Heup.
This is the third year Ski Whitetail has hosted the winter games.
