The Fight to Keep Second Amendment Rights Continues

HAGERSTOWN, MD - The heated debate on gun control continues as the Hagerstown Tea Party hosted an energetic rally downtown this Saturday.

Gun enthusiasts and local leaders gathered to protect their Second Amendment rights, saying it's extremely difficult to obtain a concealed-carry permit for a firearm in Maryland. One speaker even brought up the thought of moving out of Maryland, or the state seceding from the country, due to stricter gun laws.

"The law-abiding citizens, we're not the ones out there who are getting into trouble with these firearms anyways: 98 percent of the firearm problems, and the crime that comes from firearms, is in populations of 250,000 or greater; that's not the city of Hagerstown," says Art Thomm, Vice President of the West Virginia Citizens Defense League.

The crowd applauded when the topic of self-defense came up when a speaker said, "at home you are the first responder, otherwise you are the first victim."

Show me the pending legislation to confiscate guns and I will dance naked on the news with Lou Scally. You don't want to be controlled, stop watching news that lies to you and makes you do stupid stuff like wear tri corner hats.

This is why the Tea Party has the reputation it does. There isn't a brain shared among the entire group. Seceding from the Country? Gosh, you people are idiots

You are trying to control every move we make. Every day we are told of new laws in which you control our lives. Please stop. Just let me keep what I want if I dont do wrong.
