Police say Ruben Castillo, 37, who is already incarcerated, was convicted December 13, 2012 of first-degree sexual assault, domestic battery and violating a family protective order following a three-day jury trial.
West Virginia 23rd Judicial Circuit Judge John C. Yoder also sentenced Castillo to one year in jail on the remaining two convictions; however, Judge Yoder granted Castillo credit for time already served on the two misdemeanor convictions.
Castillo was fined $750, and was ordered that he register for life as a convicted sex offender.
Court officials ruled Castillo to be placed on 15 years of extended supervised release after finishing his sentence.
Castillo is currently being held at the Eastern Regional Jail.
