HAGERSTOWN, MD- Preparations are underway for Hagerstown's annual St. Patty's day 5K walk and race.

A press conference was held at City Hall on Thursday.

The meeting discussed the new race route and the event's goals. The run, which will be held on March 16th, benefits the community free clinic.

"Last year we partnered with the city of Hagerstown and the Rec Department County Commissioners and it's been a great partnership. We've seen a lot of growth in the event and it's really fun to have it downtown and to work through the planning process," says Robin Roberson, executive director at Community Free Clinic.

The event is held in honor of Dan McDougal, the Free Clinic's former medical director.
