FREDERICK, MD- With the advancement in technology, businesses are hoping to target potential clients online.

It's the reason for the 5th annual Social Media and Business Technology Conference held on Thursday at Frederick Community College.

Business leaders learned ways to improve their brand through social networks like Twitter or Facebook. Marketing professionals spoke to folks about mobile marketing and engaging fans.

"This Conference is to help non-profit and private corporations to do a better job of social media," says Paul Frey, Vice President of Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. "We want to teach them to work with media relations and how to spread your name via your customers."

Nearly 100 business professionals took part in the conference, sponsored by Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
